At Mars Food UK, we are passionate about providing enjoyable healthy food that combines great taste with good nutrition.

We have an ongoing salt reduction programme across our portfolio of main meal products and having worked in association with industry and the Food Standards Agency for many years, we are now working with the Department of Health.

We are committed to reducing the amount of salt in our products without compromising the great taste our consumers expect from our brands. We have successfully achieved a salt reduction of up to 49% across our Dolmio, Uncle Ben’s and Seeds of Change sauces and up to 67% in our Uncle Ben’s Express Rice.

90% of our entire retail portfolio already meets the Responsibility Deal (RD) 2012 targets and we are now focussed on achieving the remaining 10%.

We are proud that 94% of our pasta sauces already meet the RD 2012 targets, along with 100% of our Dolmio PastaVita and Uncle Ben’s Rice Time meals.

Our pasta and plain rice also meet the RD 2012 targets.
